[9/15, 6:06 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Ecclesiastes 4:1 (KJV)
*So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.*

Under the Old testament, the power was residing with the devil because of Adam’s disobedience. He used it mercilessly against mankind. The above scripture says power was on the side of the oppressor for the singular reason “there was no comforter” for the oppressed.

Any one who steps outside the covenant has erred into the hand of the devil. In fact, they lamented that the comforter was far from them.

Lamentations 1:16 (KJV)
*For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.*

Hear the good news: the tide has changed, our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ changed the entire game, He triumphed over the devil and received power for us.

Colossians 2:15 (KJV)
*And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.*

Matthew 28:18 (KJV)
*And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.*

Luke 10:19 (KJV) *Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.*

It is now an error for any child of God to be possessed or oppressed by the devil. Christ has given us victory. He has also given us the Holy Spirit (comforter). *John 14:16.*

The Holy Ghost is in us to lift the standard against all the manipulations and flood of the devil.

Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)
*… When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.*

Therefore, beloved don’t give in or surrender to the enemy for the greater one lives in you.

1 John 4:4b (KJV)
*…because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.*

Confront your challenges and mountains. Let the greater one in you begin to manifest by your walk of faith. The devil cannot stand what is in you, if only you can release it.

Confront the situation with the word of truth by the help of the Holy Ghost. Quench all the fiery darts of the wicked by your faith in God. I see you testifying of your victory in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Proverbs 6:30-31 (KJV)

I command my wealth in the hands of sinners to come to me in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Job 20:15 KJV)
*He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.*

i. I command the devil and his cohorts to vomit my blessings, fruitfulness, peace that they have swallowed in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. Whoever that is holding on to what belongs to me release it now in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Ephesians 1:3 (KJV)
*Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:*

7. Deuteronomy 34:11 (KJV)
*In all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,*

ii. O Lord my God, let my life and ministry (business, career) begin to command an uncommon result in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. Luke 3:21 (KJV)
*Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,*

O Lord my Father, let heaven over me be perpetually open for the release and manifestation of your blessing in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Deuteronomy 1:10 (KJV)
*The Lord your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.*

O Lord my God, grant me an unusual increase and multiplication in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.

For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. Deuteronomy 23:14

READ: Luke 22:8-14

8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?

10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

Several years ago, I promised to visit one of my Pastor. I had told him I would stay only a few minutes, pray and leave. Since he wanted me to stay a bit longer, he devised a means. He got a very good collection of hymns and started playing just before I arrived. I ended up staying for hours.

Do you know God will cut His visit to some homes short if the environment is not conducive?

“……therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.” Deuteronomy 23:14

My Father-in-the-Lord- Pa Josiah Akindoyomi, once preached a message about this. He said we must keep our houses clean if we want God there. God detests dirt so much that if He finds any unclean thing in a camp, He leaves (Deuteronomy 23:14). He asked: When last did you clean under your bed? If it is full of dust and dirt, God cannot stay. Those who work with me know that, if you claimed to have cleaned a room and I find dust at the top of the door, you may have to repeat the cleaning because I want anywhere, I am to be conducive for God to stay.

Pa Akindayomi also taught us that God cannot stay where ungodly music is played. This is because music carries a spirit with it. If you play godly music, the spirit of God will stay, but if you play worldly music, demons are invited to stay. What kind of music do you play in your home? This can determine if God will stay in your home or not.

Finally, God is love. He cannot stay where strife and bitterness persist. If you are always fighting and bitterness persist. If you are always fighting and insulting your spouse, you are sending God away. Instead, pray together, raise an altar of praise in your home. Once there is an altar where you and your family meet to pray and praise God, you can be sure He will dwell with you with you for as long as you want Him to.

Jesus loves you and He wants to stay in you home; make it conducive for Him today.

Using the lessons learnt today, make sure everything is in place for your home to be conducive for God to stay in when He comes.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Daniel 7-9.

1. Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.
o Refrain:
Oh, deeper yet, I pray,
And higher every day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy Word.

2. Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will.

3. Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow.

4. Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last.

5. Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus,
Holy faith and true;
In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom
Let me peace pursue.

The best place to arrange and prepare what you are to do for the day is at the place of prayer.

So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God. 2 Chronicles 27:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The best place to arrange and prepare what you are to do for the day is the place of prayer.

Earlier, we saw that appreciation to God is wisdom for daily living because your life appreciates when you appreciate God. On the other hand, your life depreciates when you refuse to appreciate God. So, appreciation to God is wisdom for daily living.

Now, another wisdom tip for daily living is, preparing your ways in the day before the Lord.

In preparing your ways in the day before the Lord, you identify critical things that must be done in the day. What this means is that you should maintain a schedule for each day.

📖 2Chronicles 27:6 says, So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

The best place to arrange and prepare what you are to do for the day is at the place of prayer. You prepare your day beforehand so it is not wasted. You can have a daily schedule. In your daily schedule, identify the necessary and vital things that you need to do in the day and write them down. You do this at the place of prayer. At the place of prayer, you connect wisdom, power, direction, and Divine idea for what to do for the day.

📖 Job 38:12 says, Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;

Beloved, you are to command your days in the morning; tell the day how it should go. It is not just praying but scheduling or planning the day. Command it and give it a direction. Identify what you must do for each day if the day must be successful. But don’t over schedule it with many things so it doesn’t get congested and you get frustrated at the end of the day if everything on your schedule is not achieved. Don’t over-load your schedule with numerous activities. Just ensure that things that are very critical and vital to move your life forward are included in your schedule for the day. Preparing your way in the day before the Lord is a secret of might.

To do otherwise is like entering a vehicle before asking the driver where he is going. It is like starting a journey in the day without knowing where you are going. It can also be likened to entering a university before finding out what course you are to study. It is not supposed to be so.

My counsel is, prepare your ways in the day before the Lord. Don’t start a journey into the day before knowing where you are going. Live wisely daily.

Remember this:
The best place to arrange and prepare what you are to do for the day is the place of prayer.

1. Prayerfully draw a schedule for each day before the day starts.

2. Present your schedule before God and command each day to go according to your plan.

3. Follow your drawn schedule for the day rigidly and diligently.

4. Do not over schedule the day with many things and avoid distractions that will affect your schedule.

Lord, I ask for the grace to schedule my day before it starts. Help me not to waste my day, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

There are many people on earth today who live a random life – life by random motion. They live their life by randomization and inference. They do not have God on their schedule at all. To such people, if a thing happens ‘that way’, it probably means the other should be ‘this way’. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

*Text: “Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.” Ps 66:12*

God is bringing you to a wealthy place. All that you have gone through will not go in vain. I saw a pattern in scripture that inspired me a lot; I want to share it with you.
Joseph had a dream of becoming a great leader at about the age of seventeen. He went on to announce his dreams to his siblings and all hell broke loose on his life. He did not actually step into that dream until he was about the age of thirty. David was also anointed to become a king over Israel at about the same age with Joseph. He also did not become a king immediately. Before the age of thirty there was nothing so significant about the life and ministry of Jesus. We did not hear of any mighty miracles that he did.

Between the time that this people conceived God’s purpose for their lives and the time that they stepped into its fulfilment were silent years. There was really not so much to desire in those years. In the case of Joseph, it was as if God was even silent in those years. He did not have any other dream again other than the ones he had initially. The absence of fresh or new dreams did not suggest that God cancelled the initial one. It was still in force. One would have thought that David will assume the throne immediately; he went on to serve afterwards.

The silent years are actually the years when God builds character and tenacity in our lives to be able to become all we are created to be. God may look quiet but he’s actively involved in the lives of this people; orchestrating things for them. If we are introduced too early to God’s ultimate destiny we may not have the capacity to carry it. Instead of getting anxious and worried just get busy walking with God.

Father thank you because you working behind the scenes of my life. Thank you for your involvement.

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)
The above scripture is teaching us that we became born again through the avenue or channel of the Word of God. Every one of us got born again through the Word. That is the ingredient that gave us the new birth. And the bible calls it, “an incorruptible seed”. That means it cannot be destroyed! It cannot be taken by assault! It is impregnable! The stuff you are made off cannot be destroyed. That is the information the bible is telling you. There is no amount of shaking that can destroy the Word of God. The scripture says it lives and abides forever. And we have seen in the scripture that this world was created by the Word. God and His Word are one. Jesus and His Word are one. And that is what you are made of.
Everything that God created receives sustenance from the place it was taken. Fish came out of water. And for fish to survive, it will eat food from inside water. The lion, the cow, the dogs, hyena, the leopards and the likes came from the earth. So they live naturally on the earth and they feed from the earth. What sustains them comes from the earth. Since we were born of incorruptible seed, we must feed from the thing we are made of in order to survive.
You are made of the Word of God and so your sustenance must come from the Word.  You must feed on the Word on a daily basis. That is how you can be established because the devil will come after you to know if you really understand what belongs to you. He will come against you to test if you truly know the stuff you are made of. When you stand on the Word, your miracle has no choice but to gravitate towards you. I declare to you by the authority of the Word of God that you will not see shame neither will you be dismayed. You can’t serve God and see embarrassment. I prophesy that you will not struggle with your finances because God will cause you to have more than enough.

There Is No Exemption In Facing Challenges

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor 4:17 NKJV

Challenges are inevitable in life; we all must face them. No one, not even believers are exempted from facing challenges of life. But God’s Word in our opening scripture shows that the challenges we face as believers are to work out for us an exceeding and eternal glory. Let me reiterate it to you that inside every difficulty is an opportunity; inside every pain is something to gain, and inside every obstacle is a miracle. So there are blessings in adversities. This is why Apostle Paul says in Romans 5:3 that he glories in tribulations because he has developed the required maturity that helped him to be able to put things in the right perspectives. So our Case Is Different, not because we won’t face challenges in life but, because we have assurance of victory in Christ Jesus.

You must face hard times because you will never amount to anything more than the challenges you face and you’re able to appropriate the victory that already belongs to you in Christ Jesus. You are as valuable as the problems you solve, not just for yourself, but even for others. Your life also will be meaningful to the level to which you are able to solve problems. One of the blessings of hard times is that it provides an opportunity for you to grow through life. It is only what you face and conquer that helps you grow, and your growth is highly essential (Gal 4:1-2). Just like no student in school is promoted to another level without first writing an examination, so also no one rises higher in life without facing one hard time or the other.

Challenges also help you to seek after God and see the reasons He must be involved in your affairs. They help you to develop experience and maturity which will further help you to manage other issues of life discretely. Another blessing of hard times is that it gives you an opportunity to apply the knowledge you have gained over time to tackle the issue at hand. Anything you know but you’re not applying will never benefit you. This is why you must rejoice in the face of any challenge that comes your way. Just know that it is providing you another precious opportunity to apply what you have gained over time.

Never ever dodge your challenges, dodging them is dodging greatness. Embrace the pains that come with hard times, it will equip you and usher you to a season of comfort. Every adult that is a failure today laid the foundation when they were young by avoiding pains and hard times. You must therefore press past the pains because that’s what the enemy would want to use to discourage you. This is why you must be courageous (Josh 1 : 6-8).

Always remember that no challenge in life is more powerful than a Christian who has the Spirit of God dwelling in him. God has already anointed you for victory, so face your battles early and get them over with by the power of God at work in you.

Heavenly Father I thank You because Your Spirit dwells in me and He gives me supernatural strength to face and conquer during the hard times. I grow through every challenge of life and I take possession of every blessing God has packaged for me in Jesus Mighty Name.

So our Case Is Different, not because we won’t face challenges in life but, because we have assurance of victory in Christ Jesus.
Good Morning.
