[9/16, 6:56 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*
*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,
*YOUR TONGUE AND YOUR ADVERSARY*
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
*And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimonies;…*
Our permanent victory over the devil is established on two platforms: the Blood of Jesus and the words of our mouth. Jesus defeated Satan over two thousand years ago by the shedding of His Blood on the cross of calvary and handed the victory to us.
Colossians 2:15 (KJV)
*And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.*
However, we need to continually affirm this victory by declaring with our mouth always. God has put us in charge through redemption of the blood of Christ. He has restored to us the dominion Adam lost in the Garden of Eden through salvation. Satan is bound to obey us, but we still have the responsibility of giving him instructions and command as touching every aspect of life.
Psalm 18:44-45 (KJV)
*As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.*
*The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.*
Your mouth is your weapon of authority ordained by God to keep you in victory and dominion. If you allow Satan to stay around your life, marriage, family, business, by your word, he will build his tent there but if you resist him by your word, he will flee from you.
James 4:7 (KJV)
*…Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.*
When you speak negative words, the devil is committed to make it come to pass because that is his ministry. But the Word of God in your mouth will keep him at bar. I hear you command the devil to take his hands off your blessing forever! He has been having his way around your life, family, business and destiny because you are either speaking wrong words or you are not speaking anything.
From this moment let the devil know that your life and destiny is not his dwelling place by your words of command being backed up with faith.
> Thank you my Lord, for the new day you have made.
> Thank you my father, for the privilege of knowing you and the salvation of my soul.
> Thank you my Father, for your mercies and love towards me and my household.

*In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.*
O Lord my God, let my life continue to draw multitude into your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus!
9. Isaiah 60:22 (KJV)

ii. I decree and declare I shall never be small in the mighty name of Jesus!
Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.
Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow,

THERE ARE FALSE BRETHREN.
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage_ *(Galatians 2:4).
The Bible tells us about these three groups: false teachers, false prophets, and false brethren. It also clearly shows us the different things they’ll do in these last days. Could there really be false brethren in churches? Absolutely! False brethren are those who come in amongst God’s people, not for their love for Jesus Christ, but for a different purpose.
Our opening verse says they come in unawares, to spy out our liberty in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage. They present a false image, in order to gain some advantage. The Bible says, *“And in their covetousness (lust, greed) they will exploit you with false (cunning) arguments…”* (2 Peter 2:3 AMPC).
False brethren always look for ways to make money off other brethren. Meanwhile, they’re the ones who neither tithe nor give in church. Their goal is to make merchandise of the brethren. They can do anything for money, including betraying their Pastor, leader, or even the church. They’re the ones who take church matters to the public or report to the authorities or news media for pecuniary reasons. The Bible says they’re among us to spy on us, hoping to get some matter of accusation against us.
It may not be so easy to identify false brethren because of their pretentious ways. But Jesus said, *“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them”* (Matthew 7:20). One of the identifying signs of false brethren is that they despise authority. They’ll try to convince others on why they shouldn’t believe or do everything the Pastor or leadership of the church says. If they heard you wanted to seek pastoral guidance for something personal to you, for example, they’ll ridicule the idea and make you feel you’re being naïve.
God’s counsel to us concerning false brethren is that we mark, and not associate with them, because of their corrupting influence. Many true Christians have fallen away from the Faith because of such unwholesome association. Therefore, do what the Word says: *“Withdraw yourself from every brother or sister that walks disorderly”* (2 Thessalonians 3:6).
Thank you Lord, that through the Spirit, I can identify the spirit of error and act wisely. The Word guides me in the right paths and in my relationships. I’m piloted in the direction of your perfect will and purpose for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
2 John 1:9-10* Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. *10* If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed:
2 Thessalonians 3:6 AMPC* Now we charge you, brethren, in the name and on the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) that you withdraw and keep away from every brother (fellow believer) who is slack in the performance of duty and is disorderly, living as a shirker and not walking in accord with the traditions and instructions that you have received from us.

*Standing Strong in the Kingdom of God*
_Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand._
As we press into our realities in the kingdom of God, one of the greatest challenges we are going to face is that our past, our feelings, our weakness, the devil and even many people around us will attempt to discourage us from believing that what God has said about us is true. The only way that we will be able to win this battle is by choosing to stand strong in faith.
Now look at this: Galatians 3:26-27 says, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Then Romans 13:14 says, “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.” If we have put on Christ, why then do we still need to put Him on again? Christ is our life and our reality. You have put Him on in our spirit (the real us). But for His life to manifest in our experience. we must grow in our consciousness that Christ is our life. This is how we put Him on. Ephesians 4:23-24 says, it is as we renew the spirit of our mind that we put on the new man. The new man is renewed in knowledge, Col. 3:10. As we stand on the truth that we are one with Christ no matter what happens in our lives, the life of Christ will manifest more and more in our lives. This is how we fight the good fight of faith and we lay hold on eternal life, 1Tim.6:12. We stand for what God has said about us until it comes to pass. Stand for what God says is your reality in Christ in your health, in your finances, in your career, in your ministry, in your mind and in your family until it comes to pass. Don’t shift ground. Cast down every other contrary thought or imagination, 2Cor. 10:3-5. Because God said so, Abraham kept calling himself a father of many nations until it manifested.
Action Point: Thank God for your wonderful realities in Christ. Begin to rejoice and declare your realities in Christ in various areas of your life.

*SILENT YEARS ENCOUNTERS*
*Text: “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man, and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.” Gen 39:2*
We’ll take our lesson deeper today. I strongly believe that these words will be life liberating for someone. In the silent years it was as if God was silent, but we must understand that *God’s silence does not mean God’s absence.* Even if you feel he’s not talking he’s working.
If you notice carefully for each of these men they had an unusual experience with God’s presence in those years.
From our anchor scripture we can see clearly that though things had not worked exactly like Joseph had dreamed, God was still with him. The assurance of God’s presence was all that kept him all through those years. He never lost sight of that.
Even though King Saul’s fury was kindled against David God’s presence was so much available for him. 1 Samuel 18:12 Says “And Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him…”
The silent years are the years that God wants us to develop an intimacy and acquaintance with his presence. This is a time when we clearly understand God’s dealings with us individually. It’s also a time of life in which the motives of our hearts are revealed and purified. God wants to ascertain if we are just interested in what he gives us or in who he is.
Joseph went through the greatest tests of his life during this period. He was tested with little to see how he was going to handle it. He had the test of purity. In the prison he was tested on how to develop intimacy with God. It was actually in the prison that he discovered that he could interpret dreams. That was something he needed to get to the leadership position he dreamed about several years ago. We can conclude that the silent years were not wasted years; but rather an ingredient of a great destiny. Those years gives God the opportunity to work on us before he reveals us to our world.
God is at work in my life. He’s working out the details of my life. He’s directing my path into destiny.

BY DR. PST. PAUL ENENCHE
TOPIC: FORGETTING THE PAST AND MAXIMISING THE PRESENT
WEDNESDAY 16TH SEPTRMBER, 2020
Until you forget the failures of yesterday, you cannot take delivery of the success of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.
SCRIPTURE: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. Philippians 3:13.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Until you forget the failures of yesterday, you cannot take delivery of the success of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.
From our studies earlier, we saw that wisdom is profitable for daily living. And we have been exploring specific wisdom tips for daily living. We noted that it is wisdom to put God first, appreciate Him always and prepare your ways before Him daily.
Today, we shall look at other things to do that constitute wisdom for daily living:
1. Do not waste time lamenting missed opportunities and failures of yesterday.
Learn from the missed opportunities and failures of yesterday to live profitably today.
In Philippians 3:13, Paul said, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Forget the things which are behind. This is because until you forget the failures of yesterday, you cannot take delivery of the success of today and the opportunities of tomorrow. There is no future in the past; you don’t walk backward into the future. To go into the future, you must walk forward. The easiest way to waste today is to lament yesterday and worry over tomorrow.
2. Be aggressively on the lookout for the opportunities and possibilities that the day brings.
Every day is pregnant with opportunities and possibilities. No wonder Proverbs 4:18 says, But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
Truly, the path of the just is designed to shine more and more each day.
Psalm 84:7 corroborates this: They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
Each day comes with fresh opportunities and possibilities. If there seems to be no opportunity or possibility at all, there is the opportunity or possibility of correcting what was not done well the day before.
So, be on the lookout for fresh opportunities. The truth is, what you look out for determines what you locate in life. There can be no manifestation without expectation. Expectation births experience. Those who expect nothing experience nothing. There are those who go through the day casually and usually as just any other day and so they see or experience nothing. Things don’t happen for you because you deserve them; things happen for you because you desire them. Things happen because you are desperate for them.
My counsel is, waste no time lamenting missed opportunities of yesterday; look out for fresh opportunities today.
Remember this: Until you forget the failures of yesterday, you cannot take delivery of the success of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.
1. Refuse to lament over missed opportunities of the past.
2. Be on the lookout for fresh opportunities of today.
3. Fully deploy your strength to maximize the opportunities of the present day.
PRAYER: O Lord, I receive the grace to forget the missed opportunities and privileges of the past. Help me to locate and fully maximize the fresh opportunities and possibilities of today, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV
During the temptation of Jesus, He consistently spoke the Word. He was showing us that He was feeding from the Word also. When Satan came against Him, He knew where to hold unto in order to stand.
The choice is yours! You can choose what to hold on to in the midst of the shaking. The bible says “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days:”(KJV).
In other words, God is saying the choice is yours. If you want to enjoy the good of the land, you have to make the right choice. There is a curse! There is a blessing! And He says choose life so that you and your descendants may live to enjoy what He has put in the land. The bible goes further to say that you should show your love to God by being obedient to His voice.
The shaking is on, but God doesn’t want you to go with the shaking. Rather, He wants you to rise above the shaking. If you choose what you want rather than obeying Him, then the shaking will take you.
In every shaking there are those who are lifted and there are those who fall. The will of God is that no matter the shaking the believer will be lifted. It is your choice! The glory is already available, but it is not for every person. It is for those who are building according to pattern and specification.

THEME: CHOOSE YOUR COMPANY WISELY.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14
READ: Psalm 26:4-5
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
You can attract blessings just by being around the right people. Likewise, it is possible to pick up curses by being in the wrong company. That is why the Psalmist said in Psalm 26:4-5:
“I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.”
Some time ago, I travelled abroad for a crusade and noted the absence of a particular son of mine who was ill at the time. I went to the hospital and while praying for him, I felt the power of God come down mightily. The next day, I got a report that not only had my son been healed and discharged, but also everyone else in the ward. They got their healing just because they shared the same ward with my son.
Who you associate with has a great influence on what you attract. This is why you must be friends with good Christians. Search for people who are wiser than you and be their friends. Proverbs 13:20 says:
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
Don’t stay in the midst of gossips or people jesting about their sinful acts. If you find yourself among those smoking and drinking, leave immediately.
Always choose your partners and associates carefully. Partner with genuine children of God. If the person carries the blessings of God, you can be sure that your project(s) will be blessed. When you are in business with one who is suggesting you cut corners, give bribes or cheat, break such relationships because that fellow will invite the devil into your enterprise.
God commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves, not that everyone must be our friend. We must choose our friends wisely. Keep your associations pure.
Dissociate yourself from every ungodly friend today.

HYMN 20: NEARER, MY GOD TO THEE.
1. Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee!
E’en though it be a cross that raiseth me,
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee.
Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee!
2. Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
Darkness be over me, my rest a stone;
Yet in my dreams I’d be nearer, my God, to Thee.
3. There let the way appear, steps unto Heav’n;
All that Thou sendest me, in mercy giv’n;
Angels to beckon me nearer, my God, to Thee.
4. Then, with my waking thoughts bright with Thy praise,
Out of my stony griefs Bethel I’ll raise;
So by my woes to be nearer, my God, to Thee.
5. Or, if on joyful wing cleaving the sky,
Sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I’ll fly,
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee.
6. There in my Father’s home, safe and at rest,
There in my Savior’s love, perfectly blest;
Age after age to be nearer, my God, to Thee.
