And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

READ: 1 John 2:15-29

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

In this perverse world, there are many standards by which people live. Different cultures on earth all define standards they expect people to live by and try to impose this on anyone that lives under their influence. However, when Jesus came to earth preaching the kingdom of God, He dismissed these worldly standards, replacing them with the standards of God’s kingdom. For example, the world believes that a leader should be lord over his or her followers, but Jesus said it should not be so amongst us Christians. Heaven’s standard of leadership establishes that a leader should serve his or her followers (Luke 22:25-27). Also, the world tells us that it is foolish to receive an insult from someone and keep quite; the expectation is that you should reply with even more insults. Contrary to this, Jesus said when someone slaps you on one cheek, you should offer the other cheek also (Luke 6:29). The standard you live by indicate the kingdom you belong to. Speaking to God concerning His disciples, Jesus said in John 17:16:

“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.”

If you live by the world’s standard, then you are of the world. What standards do you apply in your business dealings? By what standards do you relate with your wife or husband? What standards influence your behavior in your workplace? If you don’t live by Christ’s standards, don’t deceive yourself claiming that you are not of this world.

Many times, people live by the standards of the world because they are afraid of being rejected by the world. You must quickly understand that as a disciple of Jesus Christ that you cannot expect the world to love you. Jesus explained this to His disciples in John 15:19, saying:

“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

If you are after the love of the world, then you have missed it completely. The one whose love you should be after is Jesus. His approval should be all that you seek. The world can hail you today for giving them bread and fish, then turn around to scream “Crucify Him!” tomorrow. The world is no one’s friend. The only true friend you can have is Jesus Christ. Guard your relationship with Him jealously, and live by His standards rather than those of the world.

The standards you live by show the kingdom you belong to.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Proverbs 1-4
Zechariah 5:5-6:15

1. Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
*Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

2. Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee.

“Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?”
Isaiah 53:1 NKJV

Today, I have come to ask you: whose report do you believe? Do you believe you are who God says you are? Do you believe that His promises are yours? Or, do you believe what situations and challenges are saying to you? It does not require faith to believe defeat, failure, and lack. You do not need faith to be afraid because they are more often in line with your experience. However, faith is required to believe God for victory. You need faith to believe God for your healing and for your provisions. The Bible says, the just shall live by faith. And faith pleases God.

Beloved, whatever you believe is what will manifest. So, if you want to know what you believe, check your life, and find out what is manifesting. Our text above tells us clearly what it takes for the arm of the Lord to be revealed. Believe the report of the Lord! You cannot go on believing wrongly and expect good things to be made manifest. No! It does not work that way!

I know there may be difficulties and challenges facing you, but in the midst of these, you must hold on to what God’s Word says. Even in the face of contradictory evidence, you are who God says you are. You have what He says you have; and you can do what He says you can do. Your part is not to know how it will happen, your part is to believe what He says, and He will figure out how to bring it to pass.

According to the book of Luke 1:38: Mary said, ‘I don’t know how this would happen, but be it unto me, according to your Word.’ What are you going to believe and what are you going to say about the days ahead of you? Do not forget that you will have what you say! And it is what you believe that will manifest in your life! I urge you, therefore, not to believe the lies of the devil.

Praise Is The Key To Live In THE BLESSING

Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him. Psalms 67:5-7 KJV

We all want to live blessed lives and experience the promises and blessings of God. We want to live lives where we’re free from sickness and disease, our relationships are thriving, money isn’t a struggle, debts and bills are paid, and we are blessing others. This is the exact desire of God for all His children and He has set in motion the process of taking delivery of THE BLESSING and enjoying it all round.

Praise is one of the triggers of All Round Blessing in the Kingdom of our God. I want you to take some time to ponder on our anchor text this morning. The Bible says, once you give an acceptable praise to God, the first thing that happens is that the earth begins to yield its increase to you. In other words, praise ushers you into a season of harvest where all the seeds you have sown in the past start rolling in as bundles of harvests; people start remembering your goods deeds and they mention your name for good in great places. This also means that you can’t suffer the loss of anything; you can’t have unfinished or abandoned projects; you can’t die untimely or suffer any misfortune or casualty, all because God has made the earth to yield its increase in your direction. Praise the Lord.

The Bible says further that, our God shall bless us and all the ends of the earth will fear Him. Do you want to experience fearful blessings of God? Then praise is the secret. Since I have discovered this secret myself, my family and the ministry entrusted to our hands have been enjoying this fearful dimension of God’s blessings and it covers all aspects of our lives and ministries. Praise is such a highly powerful and potent weapon a believer cannot afford to joke with.

If you want to God to do fearful things in your life this end of the year then let high praise emanate from your heart to Him. No battle you confront with praise will end in defeat for you. The Almightiness of God is revealed when we praise Him. Nothing unlocks the supernatural like praise. It causes you to enjoy the manifest presence of God and you flow continually in the miraculous.

Make it a habit to always give radical praises to God as you end the year 2019 and enter the new year thanking God always.

The fearful blessings of God are released on the altar of praise.
Good Morning.

[12/18, 7:43 AM] 919063: Challenges for the church of today

Wednesday 18th December 2019

‘God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety.’ Ephesians 3:10 NLT

Here are three of the challenges the church faces today:

(1) We can’t experience a new move of God if we insist on clinging to an old one. ‘God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety’ (Ephesians 3:10 NLT). The word revival doesn’t simply mean awakening something that’s asleep. It also means resurrecting that which is dead or dying, and causing it to come to life again. (2) We fear excess, so we embrace mediocrity and call it balance. People aren’t drawn to us because of our similarities, but because of the things that make us unique. When it comes to our faith and our testimony, we mustn’t downplay, soft-pedal or sidestep the very things God has given us that make us distinctive. If we do, people will be disappointed and go elsewhere. The disciples didn’t blend in with the crowd; their message and the demonstration of its power made them stand out. (3) We need to make room in the church for risk-takers and faith-walkers. In the first miracle Jesus worked, changing water into wine, Mary told the servants, ‘Whatever he says to you, do it’ (John 2:5 NKJV). Our need to be liked and to be popular can lead to a religious spirit that cripples risk-taking and faith-walking. Jesus promised: ‘You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me’ (Acts 1:8 NKJV).

So when God tells us to ‘do church’ differently, let’s not be afraid to step out and obey him.
