[8/16, 6:30 AM] 919063: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Friday, 16th August, 2019

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:11 KJV
In the book of John 17:23, Jesus was praying to the Father that the Church should understand the vital union between Him and the Father, so that they may be made perfect and walk in dominion. Those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).  Strong in what? They should be strong in the Lord, which is where their real strength lies.
The book of Ephesians 6:10 says: we should be strong in the Lord. This means we should be strong inside the Lord. You are not a match in your own strength to the devil. There is only one person the devil fears, JESUS. That is why you need to disappear so that Jesus will take over the battle for you. That is why you are given the whole armour of God. When you put on the whole armour, you put on Christ.
The Bible says, having your loins girt with truth. That is knowing Jesus Christ as the truth. Knowing Him as your Lord and Saviour and entering into His Word. Then it goes on to say, ‘put on the breastplate of righteousness.’ Righteousness means right standing with God. And our righteousness is Jesus. Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. In other words, anywhere you go, you bring the good news. Jesus Christ is the Prince of peace. On your head, you put on the helmet of salvation. Jesus is the Captain of our salvation. You put Him on your head and your mind is renewed, you have the mentality of heaven.
It also says, you put on the shield of faith. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. It says to us, then you put on the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God with which you shall be able to fight the enemy. Jesus is the Word of God. When you put on all these things, you disappear. And what does the devil see? He sees Jesus!

[8/16, 7:03 AM] 919063: *Above Only Devotional*

Friday, August 16

*Grace to See and Hear what God is Saying to You*

_Joshua 6:2-4_
_And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round the city once. Thus shall thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets._

God does not see the way that men see. The things that are impossible for men are possible with God. God describes and talks about things that don’t exist (physically) as though they exist, because He has created them already in the Spirit, Rom.4:17. If you choose to live your life only by the things that you see or hear physically, you will limit and cut yourself out of the abundant life that God has made available for you in Christ. Because Elisha and Gehazi were seeing differently, they had different reactions to the threat of the surrounding Syrian army, 2 Kings 6:15-18. We walk by faith and not by sight 2 Cor.5:7. We do not live our lives by the impulses of our natural senses. We don’t live our lives or judge ourselves by limited human standards, because we are completely new and different creatures on the inside; because we are in Christ, 2 Cor.5:16-17.

Now that you are born again, you have the ability to perceive and understand the things of God, John 3:3. You can see with the eyes of faith and you can hear God’s voice, John 10:27. The word of God is your reality. As you believe and hold on to it, it will become your experience. Before God could tell Joshua what to do to take possession of the land of Jericho, He needed Joshua to see that He (God) had already given Jericho into his hands. Train yourself to see with your eyes of faith. See the things God has done for you in Christ and accept them as your reality and open yourself to the leading of God’s Spirit. You are healed, blessed, strong and victorious in Christ.

Heavenly Father, I accept your word as my reality. Open my eyes Lord to the wonderful things you have done for me in Christ.

SCRIPTURE: And he said,”Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel”: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men,”and hast prevailed. Genesis 32″:28

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Nothing is ever conquered until something is confronted.

Desperation is the feeling you have when you are in a situation that must be changed at all cost,”that is, you are willing to take risks in order to change things. It is the feeling of needing or wanting something very drastically.

To be desperate for change, therefore, is to be so tired of your present situation that you are willing to take a risk, if necessary to change it. It is important to understand that until there is a fight, there cannot be a flight; it takes a fight to take a flight. For instance, the aircraft fights some forces – the force of gravity and the drag force of the wind before engaging in a flight. Drastic things only happen for desperate people.

Beloved, if you want God to drastically change your life, it takes desperation. Be desperate for a change because desperation is key to your destination. There can be no quality destination until there is a provable desperation. Nothing is ever conquered until something is confronted. You need a sense of urgency, alacrity, ferocity to fulfil destiny. The Bible says, Woe to them that are at ease in Zion… (Amos 6″:1). The life of ease is the life of curses.  Taking life too easy makes life not to be easy. Those who are casual with life end up as casualties in life.

Determine to disappoint the expectation of people who said you cannot amount to anything in life. It is not time that changes things; it is choice that changes things. So,”make a choice to have a change at all cost.

Remember this”: Nothing is ever conquered until something is confronted.

1. Desire a drastic change in your life.

2. Hold unto God for a change in any area of your life where change is required.

3. Refuse to settle for less.

PRAYER: Lord,”You are my Source and Confidence. I come before You today for a change of level in life. Please, lay Your Hands on me and turn things around for my good, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: Nehemiah 11: 1 to 12: 26,”1 Corinthians 10″:14 to 33,”Psalm 34″:11 to 22,”Proverbs 21″:14 to 16

QUOTE: If you do not like the level where you are now,”you do not fly from there, you fight from there. Culled from 30 SECRETS TO THE TOP by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT”: Human thigh bones are stronger than concrete.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive the grace for desperation for a change of life and destiny,”in Jesus’ Name

DON’T FORGET TO ATTEND”: The Home Church meeting by 6:00pm tomorrow at a Home Church near you. Also invite your friends and neighbours. God bless you as you do so.
