Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
Proverbs 21:13

*Bible Reading: Matthew 25:32-46*
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Many Christians don’t realise the dangers inherent in ignoring the poor around them. From today’s Bible reading, we see that the Lord cares for the less privileged so much that He literally feels their pain. This means that every time you disregard a person in need you are ignoring God Himself. Matthew 25:45-46 says:

“Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

From these verses we understand that neglecting the needy is a passageway to hell fire. When people come to you in hunger, do you give them food or turn deaf ears to their pleas? When someone is sick, do you visit to show love and pray with him or her or do you just go about your own business? When you see someone who needs new clothes, do you scorn or abuse the person for looking hagard instead of giving out some of the clothes in your wardrobe that you haven’t worn in a long while? If you are ignoring people’s needs around you, be careful because you just might be disregarding God Himself, and the result is eternity in hell.

Believe me honestly, if you make it a point of duty to always give to the poor, you will be blessed bountifully for it. It is popularly said that givers never lack. I believe this to be very true because Proverbs 19:17 says:

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.”

No one who neglects the poor has a place in heaven. In Matthew 19:16-25, a rich young man went to see Jesus, and he told Him that he had kept all Jewish laws from his youth, but he still felt like he was lacking something. Jesus told him that if he wanted to be perfect, he should sell all that he had and give the proceeds to the poor. This was too hard for the rich man to do, so he went away in sorrow. Then Jesus turned to His disciples and told them it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. In other words, if you are rich and you find anything too big or too valuable to let go of for the sake of the poor, then there is no place for you in the kingdom of heaven. Many people judge this rich young man, but they would do exactly the same thing he did if they were in his shoes. If I may ask, do you care enough for the needy that you can sell all that you have to meet their needs? Difficult as this may sound, it is reflective of the kind of heart that has a place in heaven.

Begin to set aside a portion of your regular income to help the needy from today.

2 Kings 5-6, Daniel 4:28-37

1. While passing thro’ this world of sin,
and others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.

Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true;
Let others see Jesus in you.

2. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
They’re reading it thro’ and thro’
Say, does it point them to the skis,
Do others see Jesus in you?

3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
and lead the lost to life and Christ.
Let others see Jesus in you.

‘I will give you rest.’ Matthew 11:28 CEV

If the load you’re carrying is too heavy for you to bear, Jesus didn’t give it to you. Others may have, or you may have taken it upon yourself, but Jesus had no part in it. ‘If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light’ (Matthew 11:28-30 CEV).

The final stress management principle Jesus taught us is: give your stress to him. You’ll never enjoy complete peace of mind until you develop a relationship with the Prince of Peace. Note, Jesus didn’t say, ‘Come to me and I’ll give you more guilt, more burdens, more stress and more worries,’ even though that’s what a lot of religious people seem to teach! Some churches create pressure instead of relieving it. But Jesus said, ‘I want to give you rest. I’m the stress-reliever. When you get in harmony with me I’ll give you inner strength.’ Only Jesus can transform your lifestyle from stressful to satisfied. The greatest source of stress comes from trying to live our lives apart from the God who made us, trying to go our own way and be our own god.

What do you need? If you’ve never committed your life to Christ you need a transformation. Give him your life with all its stresses and say, ‘Lord, please give me a new life. Replace the pressure I feel with the peace you offer. Help me to follow your principles of stress management.’

*Worship and Bless the Name of God*

_Daniel 2:19-23_
_Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel…. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his. And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him._

In a desperate time, Daniel prayed to God for the king’s dream to be revealed to him and when God answered his prayer, he did not just say Father I thank you for revealing this dream to me. He used that opportunity to praise and bless the name of God. He looked at God’s nature and what God had lust done for him from different angles and chanted and spoke about it unto God. One man that didn’t just praise and worship God anyhow was David. David was creative and deliberate about his worship unto God. He personally invented musical instruments to worship God (1 Chron. 23:5) and he appointed Levites to sing praises to God every morning and evening in the tabernacle (1 Chron. 16:4, 1 Chron. 23:27&30).

When you are worshipping and blessing the name of God, you are ministering unto God; and glorious things happen to us when we minister to the Lord, Acts 1 3:2. In Psalms 34:1-3, David said “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boost in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together”. When we magnify something by using a magnifying glass for example, you don’t make that thing bigger. You have a bigger and better view of that thing. Magnifying God does not make God bigger, it increases our vision and consciousness of Him and His glory; and there is a glorious transformation that takes place in our lives as we gaze on the glory of God.

Thanksgiving Guide:
Think about God’s goodness and wonders in your life and bless and magnify His Name from various angles.

SCRIPTURE: Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,”and a twoedged sword in their hand. Ps 149″:6.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the praise of God is in your mouth,”a sword is in your hand.

Praise is a spiritual force that connects humanity to the wonders of God. It is a spiritual force loaded with spiritual products. A session of praise in service is not an entertainment break but a time of high spiritual activity with high spiritual impact and results.

Now, let us explore the necessity of praise”:

1. Praise,”which is the expression of joy in the Lord, is key to Divine health and vitality”:

In a world infested with diverse afflictions and all manner of missiles flying in the air,”you need a therapy and medicine that is not physical. And that therapy and medicine is praise! (Proverbs 17″:22).

Praise imparts life; it animates a person’s system with life. That is why the Bible says in Psalms 150:6 ‘Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord’

That is,”as long as you are ready to praise the Lord, you will be supplied breath.

2. Praise is a weapon of vengeance and judgment against the enemy”:

In Psalms 149:6,”the Bible says ‘Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand…’

You see, when the praise of God is in your mouth, a sword of vengeance is in your hand.

1n 2 Chronicles 20″:22-23,”when the Ammonites, the Edomites and the Moabites gathered against the nation Judah, Judah began to praise God, and their enemies began to fight each other.

So, your praise disarms and destroys the enemy and gives rise to your victory in battle.

Remember this”: when the praise of God is in your mouth,”a sword is in your hand.

1. Make praising God a habit.

2. Whenever you are confronted,”never forget to praise God; it is your weapon.

PRAYER: Lord,”I receive the garment of praise, and as I praise You, let Your anger rest on my enemies, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: Isaiah 30:12 to 33:9,”Galatians 5″:1 to 12,”Psalm 62″:1 to 11,”Proverbs 23″:23

QUOTE: To be a carrier of God’s Presence,”power and anointing, your life must always exude gratitude, thanksgiving and joy. Culled from THE PROTOCOL OF THE ARK by Dr Becky Enenche.

AMAZING FACT”: Your cornea is the only part of your body without a blood supply. It gets its oxygen directly from the air.
