[10/14, 7:58 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*
*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,
*OPEN THE BOOK*
Revelation 5:5 (KJV)
*And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.*
Our inheritance in Christ Jesus is locked-up in the book called Bible. Until it is constantly and regularly opened, weeping is inevitable. Jesus started His ministry and preaching by opening the book.
Luke 4:18, 21 (KJV)
*The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,* *And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.*
He identified what was written of Him. He made bold statement of what he was here to do.
Hebrews 10:7 (KJV)
*Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.*
Our journey towards true destiny fulfilment begins with three major revelations (discoveries).
A. Revelation of who God is.
Daniel 11:32 (KJV)
*…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits*
B. Revelation of our inheritance in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 1:17-18 (KJV)
*That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:*
*The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,*
C. Revelation of the defeated devil
Colossians 2:14-15 (KJV)
*Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;*
*And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.*
John 16:11 (AMP) *About judgment, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him.*
Whatever we need in life is contained in the bible, but they are delivered through the knowledge of Christ.
2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)
*According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:*
Until you discover what is written of you, such as ‘sound health, long life, prosperity etc.’ you cannot recover what is stolen from you.
I believe, that was why God gave Joshua the success formular that the book of the law must not depart from him, for that is the secret of divine success.
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
*This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.*
It is impossible to be a diligent student of the bible and other anointed books and be a failure in life. However, idleness, laziness, religiosity and complacency have hindered many from entering into their inheritance.
The more you study, the more you eliminate all forms of shame from your life and family.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
*Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.*
Therefore, always spend quality time with the book.
> Thank you my Lord for another beautiful day you have made.
> Thank you my Lord for frustrating all the plans of the wicked.
> Thank you my Father for your mercies and lovingkindness.
> Thank you my Father for your protection and provision.
1. Job 23:12 (KJV)
*Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.*
O Lord my Father, help me to strongly desire your word everyday of my life in the mighty name of Jesus!
2. Jeremiah 15:16 (KJV)
*Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.*
O Lord my Father, help me to love your word and see it as my necessary food in the mighty name of Jesus!
3. 2 Timothy 3:15 (KJV)
*And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.*
O Lord my God, draw my heart to your word so that your wisdom and glory can have expression through me in the mighty name of Jesus!
4. Luke 19:42 (KJV)
*Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.*
O Lord my Father, open my eyes of understanding to know the things which belong unto my peace in the mighty name of Jesus!
5. Psalm 86:11 (KJV)
*Teach me thy way, O Lord ; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.*
O Lord my God, teach me your way and grant me grace to walk in it unto the end in the mighty name of Jesus!
6. Psalm 90:16 (KJV)
*Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.*
O Lord my God, use my life and ministry to announce the reality of your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus!
7. Isaiah 62:3 (KJV)
*Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord , and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.*
My Father and my God, make your glory and goodness to be visible upon my life and family in the mighty name of Jesus!
8. 1 Samuel 2:8 (KJV)
*He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s , and he hath set the world upon them.*
O Lord my God, change my story and cause me to inherit the throne of glory in the mighty name of Jesus!
9. Exodus 23:20 (KJV)
*Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.*
O Lord my God, release my destiny helpers to me in the mighty name of Jesus!
ii. O Lord, open the eyes of my destiny helpers to see me in the mighty name of Jesus!
10. 2 Chronicles 15:7 (KJV)
*Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.*
O Lord my God, arise and reward my labour of love towards your kingdom and humanity in the mighty name of Jesus!
11. Esther 6:1 (KJV)
*On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.*
O Lord my Father, let the book of remembrance be opened in my favour in the mighty name of Jesus!
I declare my day is blessed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
I shall be satisfied with endless favour in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.
Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow.
*Pray without ceasing.*

*HIS NAME HAS ALL POWER .*
Wednesday, October 14th .
_*And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues (Mark 16:17).*_
When you study and understand what the Bible says about the Name of Jesus, it’ll strengthen your faith and change your general attitude and approach to life. Philippians 2:9-10 says,
_*“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”*_
At His Name, every knee bows, demons tremble and hell quakes. Hallelujah! He said, “In my name shall they (those who believe in Him) cast out devils.” You never need to sweat to cast out devils. All it requires is that you use the Name of Jesus.
The devil may play on your mind and tell you you’re not “qualified” or “powerful” enough to cast him out. Never accept his lies. Jesus gave you the authority. He said in Luke 10:19 NKJV, _*“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”*_
You have all it takes to cast out devils—the Name of Jesus. Everything that exists in this world and beyond is subject to that Name. Live victoriously and dominate circumstances in His Name.
*Everything that exists in this world and beyond is subject to the Name of Jesus. I exercise my authority in Him to keep the devil and his cohorts at bay and defeated, as I live victoriously and dominate life’s situations and circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*
*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *John 16:23-24* And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. *||*
*||* *Acts 3:1-10 & 16* Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour]. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ancle bones received strength. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. *||*

[10/14, 7:58 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *DAILY MANNA*
_*WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14, 2020*_
TOPIC: *A BLESSED UNION*
TEXT: *GENESIS 24:61-67*
KEY VERSE: _*”And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death”*_ (GENESIS 24:67).
Marriage is a unique relationship established by God to fulfill His plan and purpose of creation (Genesis 1:27, 28). No wonder Solomon, the wisest man of his time, said, *”Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity…”* (Ecclesiastes 9:9). The marriage institution is established to better the lives of both spouses. The benefits of marriage are best realised when both spouses are committed to it.
Our text x-rays the possibility of a joyful, blissful and fulfilling marital life in the midst of negative experiences arising from different quarters. The basic indispensable ingredients of a satisfying relationship in marriage, as revealed in our text, are acceptance and love on the part of the husband, and submission from the wife.
Isaac loved Rebecca and brought her to himself, and she became his wife. Rebecca on her part submitted to the headship of the man and became a comfort to him. A home where there is peace is a home where there is no fault-finding, hardness and bitterness on the side of both husband and wife.
Godly communication is the lubricant of marriage and family relationship. There must be a cordial relationship, with a determination to produce a lively and productive togetherness.
Couples must learn to accept and appreciate each other. No two individuals can ever be the same. Hence, offences must be overlooked to create room for reconciliation even as both strive to create the enabling environment for children to flourish. To experience a blessed union, we must follow the principles that are revealed in the Scripture.
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY*: A blessed conjugal union is the product of two blood-washed saints, free from ego and pride.
*THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR*: ISAIAH 34 – 37

*THE SOURCE 3*
*Text: “This is what the Lord says: Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.” Jere 17:5(NIV)*
Today we are going to look closely at signs that show that a man has been turned to our source. This may go on unnoticed in our lives. .
*1. When the man becomes the first point of call or reference when a challenge or a need arises.* I knew a particular season in my life when every time I needed money I had a first point of call in a particular person; God delivered me.
*2. When this individual occupies our thoughts and words more than God does* . God demands our attention more than anyone else.
*3. A man has become our source when we become angry and bitter when an expectation from the man is not met* on an issue. There is absolutely no reason for it. Our lives are not limited by an individual.
*4. We have turned a man into a source when we have a sense of helplessness and loss of confidence when a man did not do something for us.* If God is truly your strength there wouldn’t be any need for that.
*5. When the words of a man becomes the final authority in your life above what God has said.* In such cases you find yourself living to please these individuals rather than pleasing God.
*6. When the threat of a person suddenly becomes the fear that drives our lives* .
*7. When you have lost your confidence in making an independent decision without the input of this individual.* There is a place of seeking counsel but that should not completely take over the ability to make personal decisions. We have the word of God as our guide and the Spirit of God as our teacher.
In the name of Jesus I receive deliverance from every misplaced source of trust in my life.

DATE: WEDNESDAY 14TH OCTOBER 2020.
THEME: BLOCK THAT CHANNEL II.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62
READ: Luke 9:57-62
57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
An army once went to war on the island. On seeing the size and strength of the opposition, they were afraid and sought their commander’s permission to retreat. In response, the commander burnt the ships that had brought them, declaring that there were only two options- fight or die. No going back. They fought, and in the end, won. This is how you should approach temptations. Burn the ship so there is no option of returning to sin. Fight your way into Heaven and you will win in the mighty name of Jesus.
Perhaps you have friends who entice you into sin; if they refuse to give their lives to Christ, cut them off immediately and completely. If you don’t, you would be leaving open a channel for the devil to get at you. If access to the internet will lure you back into the world, why not get a phone that is not internet-enabled or delete the applications that keep drawing you back to sin? Any channel through which the devil can get you is an evil agent; deal with it decisively.
“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.” Matthew 5:29
Joseph ran from Potiphar’s wife; he didn’t wait to resist or convince her into letting him be. He ran! He knew that if he stayed, he could fall, but if he ran out, she couldn’t follow him. Even if she did, nothing would have happened outside. If you stay in a room alone with your fiancé or fiancée, you are leaving wide open a channel for the devil to enter into your courtship; block all such channels from now.
If little drops of water keep falling into a tiny crack on a rock, sooner or later the rock would begin to break apart. Likewise, it is not wise to keep a channel of sin open, thinking you can continue to resist its lure. If indeed you don’t want to sin, block that channel!
Father, please help me to deal with all channels of sin in my life decisively from now, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMN 8: HAVE YOU BEEN TO JESUS.
1. Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
2. Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
3. When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?
4. Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
Oh, be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

*TOPIC: THERAPIES FOR LACK OF SELF-CONTROL*
🗣️ When you lack self-control, your destiny is out of control.
*SCRIPTURE* 📖: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* 🤔: When you walk consistently in the spirit, it is difficult to fulfil the lusts of the flesh.
Earlier, we saw that the lack of self-control is a deadly enemy of destiny. When you lack self-control, your destiny is out of control.
It is therefore, important to deal with the lack of self-control in order to have guaranteed fulfilment of life and destiny.
*Today, I will give you three therapies for the lack of self-control.*
*1. Absolutely surrender yourself to the control of the Holy Spirit* .
Ask the Holy Spirit to take over your life. Ask Him to empower your will so you can do the right things that you want to do. Walking in the spirit is the secret of dealing with the flesh (Galatians 5:16). When you walk in the spirit, it is difficult to fulfil the lusts of the flesh.
*2. You must learn to say “No” to the flesh (Luke 9:23)* .
You must learn to say “No” to your flesh. Learn to make yourself do the right things that you want to do. When the mind is made up, anything is possible. There is always a way when there is a will.
*3. Surround your life with disciplined people* .
Let serious-minded people be your friends. Surround your life with disciplined people (Proverbs 27:17).
If you are surrounded with unserious and undisciplined people, your life will move in that direction. Association with one undisciplined person can change your life negatively.
Beloved, don’t associate with people who lack self-control.
*Remember this* 💡: When you walk consistently in the spirit, it is difficult to fulfil the lusts of the flesh.
*1. Make up your mind to walk in the spirit* .
*2. Say “No” to your flesh always* .
*3. Avoid the wrong association; surround yourself with disciplined people* .
*PRAYER* 🙏🏼: Thank You Lord for showing me the secrets of control over the flesh. I receive Your grace to walk in the Spirit, suppress the flesh and surround myself with disciplined people Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
*FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: 🔊📀DEADLY ENEMIES OF DESTINY (PART 2).*
*QUOTE* : “Accountability imparts caution and discipline.¬ That means you have someone who can ask you, ‘Did you pray today? How is your spiritual life? How is your study of the Word? How about that thing you are battling with?”’ Culled from “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.
*DAILY READING: Matthew 24-26*
