[9/19, 6:40 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

READ: Genesis 11:4-5

4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

We have seen that if you want your followers to have one language, then you must ensure the vision is big and clearly articulated from the onset.

If your vision is to ensure there is a restroom in every building in your city, people may not take you seriously as it may appear too simple a task. However, if your goal is audacious like that of Barack Obama- the first black President of the United States of America, the people would follow you with all their heart.

God-given vison usually seem impossible to achieve; however, He is able to fulfil whatever He has promised (Romans 4:21). A vision worth pursuing is that which appears impossible to achieve. If for nothing else, people will follow to see if it will actually be achieved.

One day in 1988, I announced we were going to hold a crusade in Lagos where four million people would be in attendance. It really looked impossible, bu at the end, we discovered over six million people attended. Of course, while many did come to be part of the big vision, some came to see if we would actually have the projected attendance. People were so many that not all could see or hear what was happening on the altar, but they stayed until the end because it was a vision that was worth becoming a part of.

The crowd attracted international media and ever since, we have had gatherings with even larger numbers by God’s grace. I know the power of God has always drawn people to our programmes; however, it is proven that if your vision appears impossible, you will attract attention. The vision of the people in Genesis 11:5 was so big that it got God’s attention.

“And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.”

Can your vision attract God’s attention? If people don’t see your vision as impossible, then you need to rethink it.

The vision worth following is one that seems impossible to achieve.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Haggai 1-2.

1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

3. Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

4. Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.

[9/19, 6:40 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Change your attitude!

Saturday 19th September 2020

‘[Having a fresh… mental and spiritual attitude].’ Ephesians 4:23 AMP

We can learn a lot about the importance of a good attitude by looking at the children of Israel. It’s estimated that about 1.5 million Israelites came out of Egypt. God delivered them from slavery and led them to the Promised Land. The trip should have taken about eleven days, but instead it took forty years. Why? Because they were constantly complaining about everything! They complained about the food God sent from Heaven each day. And any time something difficult crossed their path they were ready to give up and go back to Egypt – back to slavery. What’s astounding is that out of the 1.5 million people who left Egypt, only two from the original group made it into the Promised Land.

Today there are many Christians who have also escaped from ‘Egypt’ (their former life of slavery to sin), believers who are always looking forward to the Promised Land, yet they end up wandering in the wilderness their entire lives, dealing with the same old problems and issues. Are you one of them?

Do you feel like you’ve been circling the same mountain for too long? (See Deuteronomy 2:3.) If so, here’s your answer: ‘put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude], and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]’ (Ephesians 4:22-24 AMP). In other words – change your attitude!

*Let your light shine*
*Text:* Matt 5:16
_”Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”_

*# Your light should show forth good works #*

The word of God says, _”Let your light so shine before men so that they can see your good works……”_ Live a life which will leave no one in the dark that you are a child of light. The good works to be seen as your light shines include: “LIGHT”
1. LOVE:
Jesus said to the disciples in John 13:35, _”By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”_ As believers, the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5). It is our duty to share this love with one another and with the world. It is by so doing that our light can truly shine forth. A life of love is a life that shines!

The world needs love which is sincere, genuine and pure from the heart. This is the love that Jesus has poured in our heart to show to others. I Tim 1:5 says, _”The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”_ This is God’s kind of love that we have been called to show, love without ulterior motives or personal gains. It is only the regenerated heart that has the capacity to show this level of love.

The Bible says, _”Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”_(1 John 4:7-8). To show and share love with others is to show God to them. To show love is to show that you are born of God and that you know Him. The reason why love transcends every barrier be it tribal, social or language barrier is because God is love.

Shalom !

[9/19, 6:40 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Romans 12:18 (KJV)
*If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.*

Philippians 2:3 (KJV)
*Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.*

The greatest enemy of living in the realm of the miraculous is strife. It is a well prepared weapon in the hand of the devil against the church of Jesus Christ and His saints. Anytime satan wants to hinder the move of God in any church, family or community, he will stir up strife among brethren and if you fall for his tricks, you will be demoted from the supernatural to the natural realm. You must uproot every seed of strife in your life and in your local church so that the power and glory of God can be made manifest always. One thing we should know is that offence will always come, but the nature of God in us which is love must be released always to uproot every root of offence and strife.

1 Peter 4:8 (NLT) *Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.*

God is actually looking for a condusive atmosphere where He can manifest His glory and power. Any church and family that is full of love and unity is where God can pour His anointing and blessings.

2 Chronicles 16:9 (KJV)
*For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…*

Beloved, when you make your family, office and environment an atmosphere of miracle, you cannot experience any thing short of daily testimony. Any family where both parents are walking in harmony and perfect love, the seed (children) of such family will always be happier and succeed in life.

Psalm 133:1-3 (KJV)
[1] *Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!*
[2] *It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;*
[3] *As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.*

The word of God described it as pleasant for brethren to work in love and not in strife. That is where God commands the blessing. Whenever you desire the blessing of the Lord, put your house in order, your marriage in order, your life in order. Yes! God is everywhere but He does not manifest His presence and glory everywhere.

1 Corinthians 10:32 (KJV)
*Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:*

Finally my beloved, let us be smarter than our arch enemy the devil. In most cases, when he wants to disconnect a church, believer and family from the blessings of God, he does that by launching his attack to stir up strife in the family and in the congregation. The devil achieves this mostly through people that are close to ones heart so as to access your heart. The weapon of love that gives birth to forgiveness at your disposal will quench all his tricks.

1 Thessalonians 5:14 (KJV)
*Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, BE PATIENT TOWARD ALL MEN.*

Let love rule your heart always. See Christ in every man and not his shortcomings. Know that love is our identity as followers of Christ.

> Thank you my heavenly Father for the gift of a brand new day.

> Thank you my Lord for your mercies and loving kindness towards me and my household.

> Thank you my Father for blessing the works of my hands.

1. Romans 5:5 (KJV)
*And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.*

Sweet Holy Spirit spread the love of God into my heart and grant me grace to love all men in Jesus mighty name!

2. Colossians 3:13 (KJV)
*Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.*

O Lord my God, grant me grace to tolerate others and bear with them in their shortcomings in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Job 22:28 (KJV) *Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.*

I rebuke every spell of strife launched against our churches and families in the mighty name of Jesus!

4. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 (KJV)
*Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men .*

O Lord my God, grant me grace to be patient with feeble people until they become strong in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Psalm 147:14 (KJV)
*He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.*

O Lord my Father, fill my family (home) with your peace in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Psalm 29:11 (KJV)
*The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.*

O Lord my God, bless my marriage, children, career with peace in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Proverbs 2:11 (KJV)
*Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:*

Proverbs 3:13 (KJV)
*Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.*

O Lord my Father, grant me grace and wisdom to live peaceably with all men in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. Exodus 1:12 (KJV)
*But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew…*

i. O Lord my God, multiply your blessings in my life even in the midst of challenges in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my God, let nothing hinder the growth of your work in my hands in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Genesis 28:14 (KJV)
*And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.*

i. O Lord my Father, release upon me supernatural increase and empowerment in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my Father, let nothing hinder the growth of your church in our nation in the mighty name of Jesus!

10. Deuteronomy 10:22 (KJV)
*Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the Lord thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.*

O Lord my Father, bless the works of my hands beyond measure in the mighty name of Jesus!

11. Isaiah 57:14 (KJV)
*And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.*

i. Father, let your anger consume whatever is hindering the growth of your church in our nation in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my Father, let your fire consume every resistance to my advancement in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Thank you Father for the uncommon results and answers.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow,
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (KJV)
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*

[9/19, 6:42 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *Seeds🥥🍌🍉🍒🥑🍇 Of Destiny*
_19 September 2020_
_Daily Devotional by Dr_ _Pastor Paul Enenche_

🗣️Let everything you do revolve around your relationship with God. Let your business transactions revolve around your relationship with God. Anything that does not have God as the centre, let it go.

*SCRIPTURE* 📖: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* 🤔: Don’t forget yourself in this world because you are not of this world; you are passing through this world to your home in heaven.

We started a journey in our previous studies by exploring wisdom for daily living. Yesterday, we saw that it is wisdom for you to give your best to whatever you do, and that you must live wisely and invest your time profitably.

*Today, we shall be looking at more wisdom for daily living* :

*1. Live with eternity consciousness* .

Don’t forget yourself in this world because you are not of this world; you are passing through this world to your home in heaven. Live with eternity consciousness (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).

Let everything you do revolve around your relationship with God. Let your business transactions revolve around your relationship with God. Anything that does not have God as the centre, let it go.

Sometime ago, a lady came under pressure to commit immorality with a man in an organization in exchange for a job she was seeking. She was so desperate for a job that she succumbed to this temptation and got the job eventually. But she never realized that it was just the beginning of continuous compromise. After she got the job, she had to keep sleeping with the man, now her boss, in order to keep the job. You see, whatever you compromised to get, you must also compromise to keep. If the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3).

When some people want to compromise, they say things like: “Let us keep God aside. Please forget about church matter first”. This is not right. You only ruin your life if you live like this. What God did not give you, God cannot keep for you. The way you get a thing is how you will keep it. If you get it by spirituality, you will keep it by spirituality; and if you get it by carnality, you will maintain it by carnality. So, don’t forget yourself in this world. Know who you are – a child of the Kingdom passing through this earth. This world is not our home; we are just passing through it. So, robe everything you do with your relationship with God.

*2. Appreciate God at the end of the day for a fruitful day* .

If you follow your schedule for the day, appreciate God for a fruitful day; identify particularly, the things which you are appreciating God for. Confirm in the course of your appreciation that the day was not wasted (Psalms 103:1-2). Confirm the profitability of the day by the various things you were able to see from the Scriptures.

When you do this, you will live maximally.

Remember this💡: Don’t forget yourself in this world because you are not of this world; you are passing through this world to your home in heaven.

*1. Live daily in the consciousness of eternity* .

*2. Refuse to forget yourself in this world* .

*3. Robe everything you do around your relationship with God* .

*4. Live in appreciation to God daily* .

*PRAYER* 🙏🏼: Thank You Lord for showing me the pathways for living in wisdom. I receive the grace to live in the consciousness of eternity, and appreciate You daily, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

*QUOTE* : And as we appreciate Him, He will move us to the next level. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

*DAILY READING: Joel 2-Amos* 1

*AMAZING FACT* 😳: Ants are officially the world’s smartest insects and have a whopping 250,000 brain cells.

*PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD* 🔊🌧️: The Spirit of God breathe upon you continually, the consciousness of eternity in Jesus’ Name.

Good Morning🌻🌹

(Giving direction to your day)

*Text: “And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharoah….” Exodus 7:1*

Every time God wants to change the status of a man the first thing he does is to give the person an identity that is greater than their present reality in life.

1. Moses saw himself as someone slow of speech but God saw him as a god over Pharaoh.

2. Gideon saw himself as a farmer but God saw him as a mighty man of valor.

3. Jeremiah saw himself as a child that can’t talk but God saw him as a battle axe and a weapon of war.

A negative identity will produce a negative mind-set and a negative expectation; ultimately a negative destiny. The right identity must be based on things that are not temporary but eternal. If your identity is based on temporary things your life will not be stable. It takes inner stability to walk through life triumphantly.

Every form of identity comes from a source. If the source is wrong, then the identity will be wrong. Nationality, family background, level of education, environment where we grew up etc can be sources of identity for different people. The best place to find a healthy, stable and invigorating identity is to find it in God. God is the only one that should define who we are, what we are, what we can do and what we can become. It will be absolutely wrong to give a fish an identity based on its performance on the ground. The fish can only derive its identity in the water. Nothing truly defines you outside God’s purpose for your life. Any time you try to define yourself by what is not consistent with God’s purpose you will always find yourself slow, inadequate, weak etc. ultimately our sufficiency is in God and that’s where we find our identity.

In the name of Jesus I declare that only God’s identity will stand over my life. I refuse every negative identity life must have placed on me.

*PRAYER REQUEST: In the name of Jesus we establish the feet of everyone reading Inspiration on the path of destiny. Psalm 40:2*
