Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Romans 1:32

*Bible Reading: Acts 5:1-11*
1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Today, we will be reflecting on an area of compromise in the Body of Christ which the Lord wants us to repent of. This has to do with partaking in other men’s sin, whether by supporting, celebrating or turning a blind eye to their misdeeds. The reason why The Redeemed Christian Church of God is perceived by some to be rigid on certain matters is because we are conscious of the possibility of being an accomplice to heresies. We prefer to give God the benefit of the doubt rather than take things for granted- after all, it is safer to be overly obedient than to fall prey to sin.

Today’s memory verse is strong food for thought for the Body of Christ. Through it, we understand that God’s wrath is revealed from heaven not only against those who commit acts that He hates, but also against those who have pleasure in in those that do them. Some pastors would say, “what is my business if a man divorces his wife and marries another woman? It is their problem, not mine.” However, such pastors are not just witnesses but accomplices to joining of two spiritually incompatible partners through marriage, thereby approving of those who have gone against the Lord’s instruction in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11. May you not be partaker of sins you did not directly commit in Jesus’ Name.

In times past, we were taught that it was not enough to abstain from alcohol; we were also expected not to serve it to others to drink. Habakkuk 2:15 says:

“Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!”

This was how my old friend knew that a change had occurred in me after I gave my life to Christ. When I started serving them soft drinks instead of whisky and champagne, they thought I had gone crazy. Another are of compromise that makes believers accomplice to sin is when they allow fraud to be perpetrated under their noses and do nothing about it. There is a Yoruba adage which says, “The one who collects the stolen cruse of oil is as guilty as the one who actually stole it from the kitchen rack.” This same principle applies to those who allow their homes to be used for immoral acts. Although some young Christians would not fornicate, they allow their unbelieving friends bring their girlfriends to commit sexual immorality in their houses. In the sight of God, they are as guilty as those committing the act. The giver of the bribe is as guilty as the taker of it. Don’t be an accomplice to corrupt practices. The Lord is watching you, and He is coming back soon.

Father, please give me boldness to resist being an accomplice of evil doers, in Jesus’ Name.

Judges 1-2
Ezekiel 22:6-22

1.While passing thro’ this world of sin,
and others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.

Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true;
Let others see Jesus in you.

2. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
They’re reading it thro’ and thro’
Say, does it point them to the skis,
Do others see Jesus in you?

3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
and lead the lost to life and Christ.
Let others see Jesus in you.

SCRIPTURE: We are bound to thank God always for you,”brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly… 2 Thessalonians 1″:3.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith that is not fed must die.

The Scripture makes it clear that faith is in levels; there are different levels of faith. There is a level of no faith; Jesus said,”why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? (Mark 4″:40). There is also a level of little faith; Jesus said,”…O ye of little faith (Luke 12″:28). And there is a level of great faith; Jesus said,”O woman, great is thy faith…(Matthew 15″:28).

So,”faith is in levels, and it grows (2 Thessalonians 1″:3).

Now,”it takes healthy nutrition and concrete exercise to grow physically; it takes eating and exercising adequately to live healthily. Healthy nutrition and exercise regimen is the prescription for body builders and weight lifters for the guarantee of their physical fitness. In the same manner, if you want to build your faith, you need the following”:

i. Revelational (Word) Nutrition

Like someone who has refused to eat would die with time,”faith that is not fed must also die. And if the just shall live by faith, it is critical to grow our faith.

To grow your faith, you need to feed on revelation (The Word of God) which is the food of faith (Romans 10″:17).

ii. Spiritual Exercise

This is putting your faith to work by doing what God says you should do consistently,”not occasionally. And if you were a midget in faith before, as you keep growing your faith, you would become a giant in faith (James 2″:26).

Remember this: Faith that is not fed must die.

i. Feed on the Word of God daily.

ii. Exercise your faith; carry out Scriptural responsibilities,”pray in the Holy Ghost abundantly.

PRAYER: Father,”I receive the grace to grow my faith. My faith can never remain at the level it is now. Thank You for the grace Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: 2 Chronicles 14:1 to 16:14,”Romans 9″:1 to 24,”Psalm 19″:1 to 14,”Proverbs 20″:1

QUOTE: The deeper your revelation the less your concern for human opinion. Culled from Reason For Living by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: To tell a real diamond from a fake,”you need to breathe on it”: a fake one will become foggy,”and a genuine one will stay clear.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD”: The grace to grow your faith to giant level is released upon you right now,”in Jesus Name.

*Times Have Changed*

_Hebrews 1:1-2 (GNB), Acts 2: l 7_
_In the past God spoke… many times and in many ways through the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one through whom God createdo the universe, the one whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end.” *And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams._

The sons of lssachar had an understanding of the times they were in and were knowledgeable of what God’s people were to be doing at that time. This made them very influential, 1 Chron. 12:32. Similarly, as God’s children we must clearly understand and discern the times so that we can be all that God wants us to be in these times. When God tore the veil in the temple as Jesus died, it was an indication of a change in the times and the beginning of a new dispensation on the earth, Matt.27:51.

When Moses and Elijah appeared and discussed with Jesus on the mountain, God made it very clear to Peter that all his focus and attention needed to be on Jesus, Matt. 17:3-5. In John 1:18, Jesus assured us that He is the only man who had seen God the Father and declared or revealed Him. In John 14:9, Jesus adds that whoever has seen Him has I seen the Father. If we must get a clear picture of who God is, our focus must be on Christ alone. What are you hearing? What are you listening to and giving your attention to? Is your focus totally on Jesus? What are you preaching? Does it align with the truth about what God has done for us in Christ? These are not the days of Moses or Eliiah, they are the days of Christ and His Saints; for we have been made one with Him (1 John 14:17, 1 Cor.6:17). This is why our focus needs to remain on Christ. As we remain focused on Jesus, a glorious transformation continually takes place inside us and we become more like Jesus, moving from glory to glory, 2 Cor.3:18.

Prayer Focus:
Heavenly Father, I receive Your grace to fix all of my focus and attention on Jesus and all that He has done for me.
