1Jn 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 

1Jn 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 

1Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 

1Jn 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 

1Jn 4:5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 

1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 

Beloved just as the passage has made it clear to us to test all spirit if they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world. The necessity of testing the spirit cannot be overemphasized for it is the opium, adjective to qualify one right standing before God in worshiping him in truth and spirit, in avoidance of rendering service to God with strange spirit and be a victim of evil manipulations and manifestations as many has found themselves victims of occultic, marine spirit, witchcrafts and familiars spirit presence influencing thing in strange way attracting and convincing people to follow them.

For the necessity of testing the spirit is the determiner of yourself whom you are people around you and your place of worship avoiding living or worshipping with the spirit of error or in a place of error, because every character, action manifestation is a product of spirits this is why the bible is so optimistic in considering inside of a man to the outside for inside is the dwelling of the spirit this determined the person who he is. Hence you are advice to

Thessalonians5v21[tbl]but test everything that is said to be sure it is true andif it is, then accept it. You can through the Holy Spirit judgment say who is of the spirit the lord or of the devil even people who call themselves men of God but their condemnation come from God

1Samson 16:7  But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.


  1. Luk 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.       Lord Jesus please have mercy on me and my household and release your blood into our heart to flush it clean of every evil thing in your name Jesus I ask.
  2. Holy Spirit fills our heart with your good treasure that we can be producers of good treasures in thy name of Jesus
  3. Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Oh lord in your mercies fill my inside with your grace of good things that whenever I open it will flow to edify your people in thy name of Jesus
  4. Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  Holy Spirit helps us not to grieve you or despise you in thy name of Jesus

Pro 31:9  Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.      Holy Spirit help to guide our heart from all form of evil desires and open our mouth to speak the mystery of your righteousness in thy name of Jesus
